Mark Thalken

Mark Thalken serves as the Small Business Development Center's Regional Director at Iowa Western Community College. Mark Thalken is a graduate of Creighton University and has spent the last 10+ years working in product development and analytics, sales, as well as the public sector in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area. Most recently, he has been assisting Southwest Iowa businesses with their workforce development and training needs at IWCC.

Josh Baker

Joshua Baker serves as the Small Business Development Center's Coordinator at Iowa Western Community College. With a background as an Intake Coordinator and extensive Customer Service, Joshua has been a dedicated community supporter. In his free time, he enjoys baking and spending quality time with his wife and two daughters. Committed to fostering growth in Iowa, Joshua aims to help small businesses thrive by connecting them with the right resources and advocating for the services offered by the SBDC.
