Stay On Track

Having goals for things we want to do and working towards them is an important part of being human. Goals big and small can be the stepping-stones to a successful business and the way you set them can make a difference to achieving them. The path towards our goals may not always run smoothly or be easy. It is important to use the SMART method of developing and setting your goals:

Specific: Specifically describe each goal/objective

Measurable: How will the goal/objective be evaluated? (Use quantitative measures such as % or dollar increase in revenue or market share and/or use qualitative measures which are descriptive of criteria.)

Attainable: Develop the attitudes, abilities, skills, and financial capacity to reach them.

Realistic: Must represent an objective toward which all involved parties are willing and able to work.

Timeline: A goal should be grounded within a reasonable time frame.

If you need help with achieving your small business goals book an appointment with one of our small business counselors. We will help you stay on track with our goal setting tool.
