Tragedy struck very close to home for me and many residents of the Glenwood and Council Bluffs area. The Fountains Ballroom, a fabulous business owned by the most ambitious and business smart people I know, burnt down on December 17th.
Erin and Marty Williams, owners of the 15,000 square foot wedding facility, lost their home, personal belongings and business facility. Thankfully, Marty and Erin and their two children were able to escape without injury.
The amazing thing about the couple is that they are already in “re-build” mode without even a question in their heads about weather they would rebuild or not. The Fountains Ballroom is their dream and they are already working on “new and improved” plans for the great facility. The Fountains Ballroom has been in business for 1 1/2 years and has already hosted close to 70 weddings. They have also created a great reputation for themselves in the wedding industry in the greater Council Bluffs/Omaha area. When I think of the label “Entrepreneur” and what type of person fits that label, I picture Erin and Marty.
On there website, Erin and Marty made this statement: “Our brides and grooms (with weddings booked in the future) are at the forefront of our priorities. We understand your concerns of how this will effect your special day and we are working diligently on action plans for all of our upcoming events. We have now begun the process of bringing The Fountains Ballroom back – bigger and better than ever.”
Please keep this couple and business in your hearts and prayers. If you are a wedding couple that has a reserved a date for the Fountains Ballroom address concerns or questions you have regarding your date to Dance@thefountainsballroom.com Please include your name, wedding date, home phone, home address and email address.
