The SBDC at Iowa Western Community College will be going on the road to serve businesses and startups in the 7 counties it serves a little bit better.
Starting in August, the IWCC SBDC will be extending its reach into the communities it serves by establishing “Satellite Hours”. About once a week an SBDC counselor will spend the day in a community seeing clients and helping them with their businesses.
The Iowa Western SBDC is a free service for small businesses and startups serving Southwest Iowa including Pottawattamie, Mills, Fremont, Page, Cass, Shelby and Harrison Counties. The SBDC provides free business advice and technical assistance to new and existing entrepreneurs. We offer professional, one-one consulting and resources on a number of topics, including but not limited to: business plans, market research loans and financing resources, sales and marketing, classes and workshops, websites and social media, accounting and financials.
Just like we do in our offices here in Council Bluffs, we would take appointments between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm. We would have 5 time slots open at 9:00, 10:30, 12:00, 1:30 and 3:00 pm. It is important to note that if the schedule does not work for someone we will make other arrangements for appointments.
The first schedule is below. The SBDC will be continuing this through 2015/16 and will publish a full schedule for the year soon. To make an appointment call 712-325-3376. Printable Flyer
